Justin Fischer, VeriLeaf

Justin Fischer has over 20 years of financial technology experience with a heavy focus on community financial institutions and user experience. He is the CEO and co-founder of VeriLeaf. Before VeriLeaf, Justin was the founder and principal consultant of Launchy Consulting which provided MSB and scale consulting to start-ups and financial institutions around the country. Launchy also worked with VC and PE groups for buy-side reviews of emerging technology companies. Previous to Launchy he served as the CEO and CPO for Student Loan Genius, a Prudential Financial backed company with clients like Voya, John Hancock, and NY Life. Prior to SLG, he served various executive roles with Q2ebanking including the SVP of Operations in the approach to their hugely successful IPO in 2014. Before Q2, Justin worked in the enterprise banking and international payments company S1 where he led senior development teams providing fintech solutions for large FIs and payments processing. Justin was also the co-founder and CTO of CoreTrac, Inc. who developed some of the first CFI CRM and Marketing solution software and was later acquired by Aptean.


Brad Mitzelfelt, HiLo Seed Co

With 18 years of cannabis cultivation experience Brad has had the opportunity to work with over 200 different cultivars. From 2001-2005 he worked as an indoor hobbyist grower in Colorado. From 2006-2010 he began a path towards larger Indoor grows. 2010-2016 he owned/managed 8 large scale outdoor ranch grows in Northern California along with tens of thousands sq. ft of indoor coco grows. He was the project manager for dozens of large greenhouses which included early season light deprivation projects. In 2017 he consulted on a JV hemp clone facility with Rocket Farms in Salinas, CA. Then Brad launched a hemp cloning operation of his own in 2018. The project yielded 10k clones a day of production with coast to coast distribution. Currently co-founder and operations manager for one of the largest hemp seed production operations in the US. This project consist of 500,000 sq. ft of greenhouse canopy. He is also partnering on 3000 acres of hemp cultivation in North Carolina for the Summer of 2019. He has a degree in Viticulture from Sonoma county and has owned and operated a vineyard management company. Brad is currently focused toward developing genetics and breeding of various cutting edge hemp cultivars.


Kevin Nowell, HiLo Seed Co.

Kevin Nowell is a California-based hemp educator, hemp expert and certified organic vegetable farmer who heads HiLo’s Farmer Relations department. As such, he works with a wide range of hemp farmers — everyone from folks buying hemp seed for the first time to those with plants already in the ground through post-harvest. Kevin's farm operations have been certified organic since 2014 and last year Kevin grew a successful certified organic hemp crop in California. Through extensive continuing education opportunities Kevin has acquired a wealth of knowledge about soil health, plant health, and all things hemp.
